Urgent Update!

Sorry to bother you with alarm bells on this glorious sunny Sunday, folks! Its not our aim to drive you mad with constant newsletters, but unfortunately this can't wait for the next monthly update.

It has been brought to our attention that some members have been sending correspondence, or even submissions of writing, to an old email address which is not monitored and which we do not have access to.

It was our erroneous understanding that if any messages slipped through the keeper, they were forwarded to us, but we now know that some people have reached out to us and gone unanswered. If you have sent a submission and had no reply, I guarantee that means we did not see it, so please, accept our sincere apology and send it again!

In other news (to save us bothering you again in the immediate future) –

Please note that we are currently taking submissions for the next microfiction edition. If you live in Geelong, you may have heard Geelong Cereal on 94.7 The Pulse last Monday, talking to Ian Campbell about our very popular new microfiction editions. There was even talk of possibly featuring some of your stories on the air in future! Submissions will close on 13 August.

Our next microfiction edition will be themed "Fiction from the Fog", inspired by Geelong's recent heavy fog, and the many impressive photos that showed up on social media in its wake. "Fiction from the Fog" is just an optional prompt though; feel free to send whatever takes your fancy, as long as it's coherent, meets our submission guidelines, and is less than 300 words!

We're looking forward to more two sentence stories, micro-serials, fifty-word reviews, and whatever else you creative fiends come up with this time. We're really excited about the way your contributions are shaping the microfiction editions. You guys are making your own rules, and we LOVE IT!

If you've got pictures of the fog, or pictures that fit your story that you'd like to contribute to the edition, we'll be thrilled to include them. Please, again, check out the submission guidelines first.
