Important Updates: New Member Only Posts – Important Live Reading Event Updates – Helpers Needed
Hi folks,
Sorry to bother you, but with our live reading event only two weeks away now, there are important updates!
But first, there have been some changes made to the privacy settings of some posts.
Why is some content members only?
ALL CONTENT IS STILL FREE. I cannot stress this enough.
Some posts now require a FREE subscription to view, because it will help reduce the incidence of bot slop and content laundering emails etc for that author. Let me know if you want to opt in to making your posts members only.
Practice Session at the Pulse next week:
Wednesday 30/9 6:00pm at the Pulse, 68-70 Little Ryrie Street, Geelong (it's just behind the cinema). This will be a great opportunity to pick up some tips and tricks and to familiarise yourselves with the venue! (It's a really cool space; it's going to be a great night!)
Artist release forms.
If you're reading or having one of your pieces read on air, please sign this release form and return it to me ASAP.
Timing of pieces.
Everyone who is reading, please time yourself reading your piece/s and send me the title and time, along with your release form, by this Friday, 25/9
Help Wanted!
GC has grown rapidly in the last few months and with it, the admin tasks. I need some helpful members to put their hands up to take on a few odd jobs. They will be one-offs and if I can divide them among a few members, they won't take anyone a huge amount of time.
Please email me at thegeelongcereal@gmail.com if you can assist with a bit of admin work, for example:
-I need one or two people who are proficient at (or are willing to become proficient at) adding content to the posting portal. Some of the documents require minor formatting and/or the addition of titles, author names, etc. It's pretty straightforward.
Upcoming site fees.
Thanks so much to those of you who have contributed to the upcoming wesbite costs. If you haven't already, please consider doing so, as unfortunately, GC is free to read and contribute to, but it isn't free to produce!
