Introducing our new contributor, Andy Mclean!
Creativity.
It takes so many forms.
I, Andy Mclean, have been fortunate enough to find joy in so many of them. I have been a musician since the age of ten, performing professionally since my teens, recording my own songs for most of my life. I produce music in my own studio – Seacrow Studios, and I perform live shows with my life-partner.
I operate a consultancy/design/installation business offering bespoke garden and home features using recycled and upcycled materials. In my spare time I am creating a unique garden full of surprises and hidden places, in which I will build my own tiny-home guest accommodation.
Somewhere in there, I managed to become a writer. During the past ten years I have written seven novels - all unpublished, a monthly environmental column, a dozen short stories and about a million ‘beginnings’ of novels.
Like all creative types, I do it because it is what I am. Whether the result is enjoyed by others is almost inconsequential. I just can’t help wanting to create.
It makes me happy.
