Member update

Geelong Cereal has launched! And what a great start we have had.
Thanks to all the writers who have submitted their work, I hope everyone has enjoyed a bit of reading too. There's so much variety in what we have on the site at the moment, there's something for everyone.
I do want to highlight the current batch of stories in Geelong Cereal. I also want to thank Geelong Writers and its members who have been so supportive and have really helped get Geelong Cereal up and running.
Here's what we have at the moment:
End of term by Edward Reilly. This is a detective story and mystery set in Adelaide in the future. It centres on the suspicious death of Nigel Cairncross who is found propped against the side gate of his school. Luckily the city has Detective Miller on the case. There are two chapters up at the moment with a few more to come.
Fletcher the kangaroo - life and death by Kristine Fitzgerald. This is going to be a bit of an epic and it all starts with a little kangaroo called Fletcher. Currently there are two chapters up and we'll be releasing new chapters every fortnight for this one over the next 12 months.
Caruso 19 by Melissa King. A very cool sci-fi short story set on a dying space station with a mind-hungry AI. Luckily one of the crew is Cerisse, whose mind doesn't work quite like everyone else's.
Missing by Steve Gray starts with Stephanie living a quiet life "up country". All that changes when tragedy arrives. The story is both heartbreaking and funny, and in some ways it's a comforting story about love, death, and the business of tying things up. Currently two chapters up. Chapter three is about to come out.
Today before tomorrow by Adam Stone is a short story about Josh, a young man struggling with an apprenticeship in carpentry who may need to make a change in his life.
Again, thanks to everyone for their support. Please share Geelong Cereal with your friends and family as we want to bring in new members as well as new writers and stories.
And if you have a story you would like to publish, just email me at geelongcereal@gmail.com. We'll get it up on Geelong Cereal in no time at all for all to read.
Toby
